A supportive non-judgemental space
Whether you’re looking for guidance, support or practical strategies, coaching sessions are tailored to get to the heart of your personal challenges. The goal is for you to leave each session feeling understood, empowered, hopeful and ready to apply specific tools that will set you on a path to positive change.
The role of a coach is to put the power back in your hands, helping you identify what’s not serving you and enabling you to make meaningful changes.
Through careful listening and supportive questions I will help you identify precisely the obstacles to improved wellbeing and share with you strategies to overcome them.
People often talk about their wellbeing in a vague or abstract way but I believe it’s about being well in yourself, dealing with stress in a healthy way and having the drive and energy to work toward your life goals.
Coaching sessions are practical and conversational and aim to guide and empower you to create lasting, sustainable habits. We’ll set actionable goals after each session for you to integrate into your routine, helping you build a healthier, happier life.
Coaching is different from therapy or counselling. It is designed to offer focused support. Unlike therapy, which can concentrate on the past and explore the root causes of an issue, coaching is designed to focus on the present and future, to be action-orientated and to offer practical tools and clear, measurable goals to get you where you want to be.
It’s perfect for those who feel stuck and are looking for a clear path forward. Each session lasts for 55 minutes and the first will begin with a discussion of the issues or challenges you are looking for help with. The session will end with an action plan to help you take the first steps toward meeting your goals.
Further sessions allow us to check in and support you, add to the roadmap and help you stay on track as the new habits become part of your day-to-day life.
I was left feeling overwhelmed trying to manage my career, my children and life generally. Laura helped me work out strategies so I could manage my work better – delegating more, not having to be responsible for everything and creating more time for the kids and for myself.
Some of the strategies were relatively small changes but they made a huge impact, and were very easy to implement. And whenever I feel flustered, Laura was brilliant at helping me feel calm again.
